If you are interested in how AI can be used for marketing, I highly recommend this bookIt was written in August 2024 and is as up to date as a book on AI can be. Some really great thought provoking content in there. I especially loved this list of links at the end each chapter. The book covers how and where AI can be used effectively for marketing, and the importance of human oversight and intervention, as well as the ethical, legal and privacy concerns of AI in marketing. The frameworks and case studies are particularly useful.

A Smart, Actionable Guide for Marketers at Every Stage of the AI JourneyAs a CMO who’s spent the last two decades riding waves of transformation, from the rise of online banking to the boom in DTC, I’ve learned to spot when a book is just hype versus when it actually helps. Shiv Singh’s Marketing with AI for Dummies lands squarely in the latter camp.
This isn’t AI theory dressed up in buzzwords. It’s a clear-headed, well-structured playbook that helps marketers make sense of where AI can create real value today. From personalization to creative development, media buying to measurement, Shiv outlines the landscape with clarity and insight, offering both strategic frameworks and tactical examples.
What I appreciated most is that the book doesn’t assume you’re already deep in the weeds. Whether you’re leading a team, building a roadmap, or just trying to wrap your head around where to start. And for those of us already experimenting with AI, it provides a solid gut check: are we asking the right questions? Are we solving for the right problems?
Highly recommended for modern marketers who don’t just want to keep up with AI — but want to lead with it.

Guaranteed to make you smarter about AIYes the author Shiv Singh is an expert (and knows a vast network of experts in this space), so I expected him to know what he is talking about. I was still blown away by how helpful the content was – even the Table of Contents alone taught me things I didn't know. This book makes it easy to start wherever you are, either diving deep into the history, going straight to your specific use case, or even super advanced "future forward" details. And of course Shiv's signature Top Ten lists – Ten Pitfalls to Avoid and Ten Developments to Watch For!!
